Zoom Backgrounds for Teaching Staff

As part of working with Oxford Study Courses and/or Pamoja Education you will be expected to host Live Lessons. These are valuable learning experiences for our students and will be hosted via Zoom so that staff and students are able to interact. 

As part of these Live Lessons we do expect you to have your webcams on so that it is a more personable experience for the students. (For some further information on why you should have your webcam on see: https://support.pamojaeducation.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360016743960-Webcam-Netiquette )

Whilst using your webcam we would encourage you to use a background so that it protects your privacy. We have provided some below which are branded. Please try to use the appropriate background for either OSC or Pamoja. 

The backgrounds can be applied in two different ways.

Before Joining a Lesson

1. Download and save the custom background to your computer (see attached documents)
2. Open Zoom
3. Click your profile picture, the elect "Settings"
4. In the left menu bar, choose "Virtual Background"
5. To add a custom background, click the "+" icon
6. Toggle "Mirror my video" and "I have a green screen" as needed

After Joining a Meeting

1. Download and save the custom background to your computer (see attached documents)
2. On the bottom bar, click the up arrow next to "Stop Video"
3. Select "Choose Virtual Background"
4. To add a custom background, click the "+" icon
5. Toggle "Mirror my video" and "I have a green screen" as needed
